Accessibility Statement
1. Our Position
A body shop serves the whole town, and that includes people who use a screen reader, who navigate by keyboard, who need larger text, or who cannot use a mouse. If somebody cannot use this website to reach us, that is our problem to fix, not theirs to work around.
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We are not going to claim we have perfectly achieved it, because that is a claim most sites cannot honestly make. What we can tell you is what we have deliberately built in and what we already know needs work.
2. What We Have Built In
- Every photograph of our work carries alt text that describes what is actually in the frame, not a generic label.
- The site opens in dark mode. You can switch between light and dark using the theme control in the navigation menu.
- Text can be resized in your browser without the layout breaking or content disappearing.
- The moving photo columns in the page header stop as soon as you touch or scroll them, and they respect the reduced motion setting in your operating system. If you have asked your device for less animation, they do not move at all.
- Interactive controls can be reached with the keyboard, and the shop menu opens on keyboard focus as well as on hover.
- The phone number is a real link on every page, so a screen reader or a phone can dial it directly.
3. What We Know Is Not Perfect
Being straight with you is more useful than a blanket claim of compliance:
- Some third party tools we embed, such as repair status lookup and scheduling, are built by other companies. We do not control their accessibility.
- Some of our longer pages carry a lot of detail. If that is difficult to work through, call us and a person will simply tell you the answer.
- We have not had this site audited by an independent accessibility specialist.
4. Accessibility At The Shop
The website is only part of it. If getting to us or into the building is difficult, tell us when you call and we will work around it. We can come out to the vehicle rather than have you come inside, take details over the phone, and arrange a tow so you do not have to drive a damaged vehicle to get an estimate.
5. Tell Us When Something Does Not Work
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, we want to hear about it, and you do not need to explain it in technical terms. Tell us what you were trying to do and what happened. We will fix what we can, and where we cannot fix it quickly we will give you another way to get the same thing done.
