PLANNING A REPAIR TIMELINE
Parts, approvals and hidden damage can affect the plan and the schedule.
What happens if additional damage is found?
Additional damage is frequently found after disassembly. That is normal on collision work rather than a warning sign, because the first estimate can only describe what was visible with the vehicle assembled. When we find more, we stop, document it with photographs and measurements, and submit a supplement request to your insurer, and we tell you at that point what it means for the timeline. Nothing additional gets repaired, and nothing gets billed, before it has been approved, so the repair continues without compromising safety or quality.
How long will the repair take?
Timing depends on the damage, insurer approvals and the repair procedures required, but the honest answer is that parts availability drives the schedule more than the bodywork does. A single back-ordered part can add a week to an otherwise straightforward job. We give you a realistic estimated timeline once the full repair plan exists rather than a hopeful one on day one, and if it moves we tell you why. A rushed repair that comes back is worse for both of us than an honest date.
PREFER TO TALK IT THROUGH?
Tell us what happened and what the vehicle is doing. We will help you choose the next step.
