UNDERSTANDING INSURANCE & REPAIR CHOICES
Estimates, shop choice and claim correspondence, explained before work begins.
Do I need more than one repair estimate?
No. In most cases you are not required to get multiple estimates. Some insurers still ask for two or three, but that request is a habit rather than a requirement, and if yours does ask, tell us and we will deal with them directly. What matters far more than the number of estimates is what each one actually contains: two documents can differ by hundreds of dollars simply because one includes the blend, the scan, the calibration or the correct part and the other quietly leaves them out. We work directly with your insurer from our estimate so the proper repair procedures are covered and your vehicle is restored safely.
Can I choose which auto body shop repairs my vehicle?
Yes. The vehicle is yours, and so is the choice of who repairs it. A recommendation from your insurer is a business arrangement between the insurer and that shop, not an obligation placed on you. You can be told a shop is 'preferred', 'approved' or 'in network' and still choose somewhere else without losing your coverage. Bring it here and we handle the claim correspondence on your behalf, so choosing your own shop does not mean taking on the paperwork yourself. We work for you, with our primary focus on protecting you and your vehicle.
Do you work with insurance claims?
Yes. We deal with every major carrier and a good many smaller ones, and the claim process is a routine part of what we do rather than something we hand back to you. That means submitting the estimate and the documentation, negotiating the supplement when disassembly turns up more damage, and supplying the photographs and measurements to support it. You are told what is happening at each stage, so the claims process stays clear from start to finish instead of surprising you at pickup.
PREFER TO TALK IT THROUGH?
Tell us what happened and what the vehicle is doing. We will help you choose the next step.
